  • The National Science Foundation (NSF) REU Search Page

The National Science Foundation has a search page that includes the contact information for Research Experiences for Undergraduates summer research programs. Programs are afforded in STEM and social sciences, from neuroscience to public policy. You will need to contact the specific program for application information. Additionally, programs may submit their specific application information for publishing in the list below. Application due dates can vary widely.

  • Education and career training opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)

PathwaysToScience.org has a searchable database of 600+ summer research programs for undergraduates in all STEM disciplines. These are all fully funded opportunities including programs sponsored by NSF, NASA, NIH, etc. They also have a selection of resources to help you strengthen your applications.

  • Biomedical Research for University Students in Health Sciences (BRUSH) Summer Research Program- Michigan State University

MSU hosts the BRUSH Summer Research Program for undergraduates pursuing biomedical and research-related careers. The goal of the BRUSH Program is to provide hands-on research exposure and graduate or professional school preparation opportunities for students from populations underrepresented in biomedical research. Program dates are May 19 to August 1, 2025. Undergraduate students earn a stipend of $5,700 and are provided room and board on campus, for a total package valued at $9,600.   • SAMHSA Internship Program- Virtual opportunities

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is the agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that leads public health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the nation. SAMHSA’s mission is to reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness on America’s communities. If you have an interest in the fields of public health and behavioral health, the SAMHSA Internship Program could be a great fit for you. Summer 2025 applications open November 14th. Paper and Presentation Opportunities (Internal)

  • Scientia et Humanitas – MTSU Honors College

Scientia et Humanitas, a journal of student research, is now accepting original, unpublished undergraduate and graduate research. We accept articles from every academic discipline offered by MTSU including the natural sciences, the social sciences, and the humanities. Eligible contributors are all MTSU students and recent graduates, either as independent authors or with a faculty member.

Articles should be 10 to 30 typed double-spaced pages and may include revisions of papers presented for classes, conferences, or Scholars Week. Articles adapted from Honors or M.A. theses are especially encouraged. Papers should include a brief abstract of no more than 250 words stating the purpose, methods, results, and conclusion.

To submit an article, check out our submissions page and our author guidelines. Articles may also be submitted directly to the editor at scientia@mtsu.edu. The Spring 2025 deadline is Friday, February 7, 2025.

  • Georgia Undergraduate Research in Psychology Conference- Kennesaw State University

The GURP conference offers a great outlet for newly engaged social scientists in the southeastern United States to present their research in a professional setting and provides students an opportunity to develop professional skills, learn about research at regional colleges and universities, and connect with students and faculty who share a research interest. The 2025 conference will take place on April 4th with the theme “Mind Matters: Mental Health in a Changing World”. Applications are open from November 1st, 2024 to February 7th, 2025.   • American Chemistry Society Fall 2025 Meeting- Washington, D.C. and virtual

ACS Meetings & Expositions are where chemistry professionals meet to share ideas and advance scientific and technical knowledge. By attracting thousands of chemical professionals, the meetings provide excellent opportunities for sharing your passion for chemistry, connecting with one of the world’s largest scientific societies, and advancing your career in this ever-changing global economy. The fall 2025 meeting will be held in-person in Washington, D.C. and virtually August 17th to 20th. Applications are now open through March 31st. Click here for more information.

  • Sanctuary- Creative Publication of the Southern Regional Honors Council

Are you an honors student ready to showcase your creativity and make your mark? Submissions are now open for the 2025 edition of Sanctuary, the official publication of the Southern Regional Honors Council (SRHC)! Whether you’re a poet, fiction writer, essayist, or visual artist, this is your opportunity to have your work featured and shared with a wide audience. Submission Dates: 🗓️ November 1, 2024 – January 31, 2025  What You Can Submit: 

  • Poetry: Any style, up to 5 pages (single-spaced) 
  • Prose: Fiction or nonfiction, 1,500-word limit 
  • Art & Photography: Visual or digital art, including photography (.jpg, .tiff, or .png format) 
  • Each submitter can send up to 3 works per category, with a maximum of 4 works total. 

How to Submit:  Ensure your files are named as follows: Your Name – Title of the Piece (e.g., John Smith – Garden Life). Send your submissions to honorsprogram@uab.edu with the subject line: Sanctuary ’25 Submission – Your Name. Include your name, piece name, school name, and author bio within the email. 

  • Southern Regional Honors Council Annual Conference- Chattanooga, TN

The 2025 conference will offer nine presentation strands and five presentation options that explore the overarching theme of “Honoring Story.” In your submissions, we invite you to consider narrative and storytelling broadly as they relate to any of the presentation strands listed below. As always, presentations do not have to reflect the theme of the conference, but feel free to utilize the theme wherever appropriate. Your proposal should include a 150-word abstract as well as a list of all co-authors and presenters. Applications are now open through January 31st. The conference will take place from March 26th to March 29th 2025. Click here for more information.
