The National Science Foundation has a search page that includes the contact information for Research Experiences for Undergraduates summer research programs. Programs are afforded in STEM and social sciences, from neuroscience to public policy. You will need to contact the specific program for application information. Additionally, programs may submit their specific application information for publishing in the list below. Application due dates can vary widely.
- Education and career training opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)
PathwaysToScience.org has a searchable database of 600+ summer research programs for undergraduates in all STEM disciplines. These are all fully funded opportunities including programs sponsored by NSF, NASA, NIH, etc. They also have a selection of resources to help you strengthen your applications.
- Oasis Center Internships- Nashville, TN
The Oasis Center is accepting undergraduate and graduate students for their fall 2025 internships with street outreach, the Mayor’s Youth Council, emergency shelter, and counseling programs. For more information or to apply, email volunteers@oasiscenter.org.
- Biomedical Research for University Students in Health Sciences (BRUSH) Summer Research Program- Michigan State University
MSU hosts the BRUSH Summer Research Program for undergraduates pursuing biomedical and research-related careers. The goal of the BRUSH Program is to provide hands-on research exposure and graduate or professional school preparation opportunities for students from populations underrepresented in biomedical research. Program dates are May 19 to August 1, 2025. Undergraduate students earn a stipend of $5,700 and are provided room and board on campus, for a total package valued at $9,600. - Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration Internship Program- Virtual and Washington, D.C. opportunities
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is the agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that leads public health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the nation. SAMHSA’s mission is to reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness on America’s communities. If you have an interest in the fields of public health and behavioral health, the SAMHSA Internship Program could be a great fit for you. Summer 2026 applications will open in November 2025. - Chair of Excellence in Urban and Regional Planning Scholars Program- MTSU
The Chair of Excellence in Urban and Regional Planning Scholars Program is a 9-month research and engagement program for undergraduate students designed to bring students, faculty, and community members together to address ongoing urban and regional challenges through academic research. The undergraduate students in the program will develop and apply skills in academic research techniques within a structured, faculty-mentored curriculum, much like a typical university course. The students are tasked with researching a complex urban and regional issue relevant to the middle Tennessee region. Throughout their research, they work their way to possible solutions, culminating in a comprehensive research paper, which they will present at the end of the program. This is all done under the guidance of an individual faculty member, who has experience in both research and the field of the student’s chosen topic, alongside lectures that walk the students through the general research process. - Eastman Chemical Company- Kingsport, TN and across the country
Eastman offers paid internships and co-ops that provide real-world knowledge, enhance collegiate experiences and prepare students for professional careers. Interns and co-ops are treated as professionals and often have ownership of projects and assignments. Both corporate and engineering, including supply chain, environmental engineering, chemical management, communications, and more! - Scientia et Humanitas – MTSU Honors College
Scientia et Humanitas is a peer-reviewed journal showcasing the best graduate and undergraduate research from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). Sponsored by the University Honors College, they publish both print and open-access electronic versions to highlight the breadth and quality of student research across all academic disciplines. They accept articles from every academic discipline offered by MTSU including the natural sciences, the social sciences, and the humanities. Eligible contributors are all MTSU students and recent graduates, either as independent authors or with a faculty member.

- Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference for Undergraduate Researchers (MARCUS)
27th Annual Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference for Undergraduate Scholarship
Saturday, November 8, 2025
MARCUS is a presentation venue for undergraduate scholarship in all disciplines and was founded and hosted by Sweet Briar College from 1999-2018. Randolph College served first as host in 2015 and has hosted since 2019. Students who wish to present will have submitted the Presentation Application by the end of Wednesday, 10/8/2025, to be scheduled and included in the program.
