Current Focus: Determining Oxytocin’s Role in Social Motivation of Mice

Project Description

We are investigating what makes mice socially motivated. Over the summer, we validated/ developed behavior tasks to measure social motivation. This semester we will be using pharmacology to manipulate mice to examine differences in motivation.

Why does this topic interest you?

I am interested in the brain and how we can localize certain functions to an area of the brain.

What are your professional aspirations?

I aspire to be a neuroscience professor.

Do you have any advice for future researchers?

Get involved any way you can early on.
