Current Focus: Contextualizing Partisan Biases
Project Description
Currently, limited research has examined the cognitive and behavioral effects of partisan biases in decision-making processes. This study uses a neuroscientific approach, incorporating eye-tracking technology to analyze participants’ responses. The research focuses on understanding how partisan biases influence cognitive processing and decision-making across various contexts while also investigating the impact of contextual factors, such as framing and exposure to biased information. Ultimately, this neuromarketing study aims to provide deeper insights into the mechanisms driving partisan biases and their implications for communication strategies and decision-making.Why does this topic interest you?
This topic interests me because it combines my passion for neuromarketing with the opportunity to explore how cognitive processes shape decision-making, particularly in the context of partisan biases. I am especially intrigued by the use of eye-tracking technology to uncover subtle, often unconscious responses, which allows us to better understand how people perceive and process information. This project aligns with my academic interests and my desire to contribute to research that has real-world applications in improving communication and decision-making strategies. What are your professional aspirations?
I aspire to become a digital strategist, focusing on combining creativity and data to understand consumer behavior and drive impactful decisions. I aim to help organizations connect with their audiences through innovative and effective strategies.Do you have any advice for future researchers?
Persistence is key to reaching your goals, so stay focused! Keep pushing forward, and remember that with every step, no matter how small, you’ll be able to make an impact on this world.Spring URECA Deadline
