Current Focus: Efficiency of YOLOv8 Classification Model

Additional Interests: I’m into data analysis, robotics**, artificial intelligence, biology, environmental studies, etc.!

Project Description

Using video data received from one of Dr. Zhang’s drone flight classes. I along with a partner label the videos for different categories: flight, crash, landing, etc. and then train the YOLOv8 classification model using our given dataset. Afterwards, I will see if the model was sufficient in sorting new a new dataset into its appropriate categories.

Why does this topic interest you?

I’ve always been interested in artificial intelligence and find it quite fascinating how a computer can be trained to automate processes.

What are your professional aspirations?

I enjoy research, but I believe I’d also enjoy analyzing data, creating programs, debugging, etc! I quite enjoy the puzzle that comes with creating programs and debugging.

Do you have any advice for future researchers?
