World Congress on Undergraduate Research (WorldCUR)

The World Congress on Undergraduate Research (WorldCUR) promotes undergraduate research of all disciplines. The Congress meets periodically, once every three years, at a different global university.

This three-day academic conference is one of the largest platforms in the world dedicated to undergraduate research. WorldCUR showcases excellence in undergraduate research. This opportunity allows students to showcase work to an interdisciplinary audience to those from across the globe.

MTSU’s Undergraduate Research Center (URC) assists select students in applying for and participating in WorldCUR.

WorldCUR 2023

Representing MTSU at the World Congress in Undergraduate Research (WorldCUR) in England, Brooke Busbee, Hunter Brady, Janna Abou-Rahama, Jessie Scobee, Leslie Gonzalez Salazar, Marzea Alter, Ross Sibley, and Yaseen Ginnab showcased their cutting-edge work across disciplines. They gained experience in presenting, coordination, cross-cultural collaboration, skills that will continue to shape and aid their academic and professional experiences.

Abstract Selection Process

Being accepted to attend WorldCUR is an impressive accomplishment and an opportunity to showcase your research! WorldCUR accepts abstracts from a variety of academic disciplines and faculty mentors are expected to take an active role in helping students plan, prepare, and practice their presentations.
